Cooking Instructions

Our pasta is best eaten on day of purchase however if this is not possible, simply pop it in the freezer for another day. It cooks like a dream even from frozen.

Fresh Pasta:

From Fresh: Cooks for +/- 3 mins in boiling salted water. Boil the water, when bubbling, add the pasta, stir gently to make sure they don't stick to each other, When they bob to the top test one to make sure the pasta is cooked through (if it’s ready, there shouldn’t be a white line in the pasta when you bite into it).

Once it’s cooked, add to the sauce or drizzle with olive oil.

From Frozen: Do not defrost the pasta- cook it from frozen.

Gently ease the pasta pieces apart with your hands. They should click apart. If they don't just add them to the salted boiling water and using a spoon gently move them around and they will come apart.

Frozen pasta should take between 31/2 and 4 mins to be ready depending on the shape. When they bob to the top, pull one out to test the bite. If it’s ready, you shouldn’t see a ‘white line’ when you bite into the pasta. Once cooked, scoop out and serve.

Pesto:

Gently warm a skillet on low heat and add a couple of tablespoons of the pasta water whilst pasta is cooking. Add enough of the pesto that it loosens up enough to coat the pasta. When the pasta is ready, add it to the pesto gently swirl it around the pan until it's covered by the sauce. If the pesto sauce is looking too thin and watery, simple add more pesto until you get the coverage you need.

Adding pasta water to the sauce can dilute the flavour a little so remember to season to your taste, add to warm plates and sprinkle with herbs of your choice.

Tomato Sauce

Gently warm through on a low heat in a skillet whilst the pasta is cooking. When the pasta is done, add a spoon full of the pasta water to a skillet and add the pasta and gently swirl it around the pan until it's covered by the sauce.
